WHO I am

My name is Devita! I have been doing hair for over twelve years and I am a third generation hairdresser. I started out practicing on doll heads and moved onto my family and friends in a small garage studio when I was around 10 years old. My interest in hair has only grown throughout my many years behind the chair and has evolved into something much bigger than just hair. Spending time in my salon is more than just a hair makeover but a full spiritual reset.

I specialize in haircutting for all, and aim to empower my clients’ individuality through exceptional creativity offering a safe and inclusive space. My goal is to create a peaceful atmosphere that has you leaving feeling energized and back into full alignment.

Vida Hair shop is born

I moved to North County San Diego from a small town in the California high desert in July of 2023. I had hopes of building a whole new life for my daughters and I, in search of new opportunities and adapting to a different way of life. My dream has always been to live by the beach and own a hair salon. Welcome to the beginning of the journey in this new baby salon studio. The name “Vida” comes from my full name which is Devita, it is the nickname my grandpa gave me that holds a special place in my heart. The variations of the name mean Life, Divine Being and Beloved.
